i have a 89 bonneville le the parking brake is broke i have the petel zip tied up in the disingaged postion. however the back brakes drag a little bit enough to slow the car down coming down a hill . can someone please explain how to either fix the whole thing or just remove it all together so my brakes won't drag????

You do realize, of course, that the other name for a park brake is an emergency brake. If you lose a brake line, the investment in fixing your park (emergency) brake will be the best money you ever spent.

thanks for the advice ? do you have naything to contribute that will help me ?? and yes i relize that i never use it anyway so i don't really care if its there or not . just need to no how to get it off or fix it either one witch ever is cheaper i suppose !
