Default oil plug leaking

Well about a month ago I decided I needed to replace my oil plug cause it was leaking about a quart of oil every 1200-1500 miles. Well instead of replacing the plug with another plug I bought one of those Fram Sure Drain Kits. Well after about a month and about 1500 miles I'm down another quart of oil. So now I'm thinking it wasn't the plug after all, but the threads on the oil pan itself are messed up. Looks like i'll be fixing that with my next oil change.

Are we talking replacement oil pan here?
I don't think so yet. I'm gonna try some teflon tape, and I know they make some kind of oil drain plug repair kit. It threads into the pan and you screw in another plug.
