All MY tools are good quality, it was autozone'* stupid o2 sensor socket that ruined me :(. More because of the design of the socket than the quality, actually.

That'* exactly what I did, too . I tried with the O2 sensor socket, it slipped and rounded off the sensor. Then I cut off the stupid wire and took a REAL socket to it, b ut it was too rounded and too far in there. I took it to my mechanic, he had to pull the manifold, drill it out and re-thread the hole. Bleah, $200 down the hole.

That didn't even fix my problem. The ecu is still giving me a camshaft sensor code. So now I have to figure out what that is and whether or not I can replace it :(

Yeah, I was just going to buy a rear manifold for $50 and replace it, but at the time I didn't know if I could pull the rear manifold successfully in my driveway, especially since I use this car to get to work and school :(. I really regret having my mechanic do it, though. I should have at least tried by myself.

I'm not going to make the same mistake with this stupid cam sensor/magnet. My guy said it was probably the magnet, so I hope that'* easy to fix. I remember someone (padgett?) having an easy fix where you drilled out part of a plate and used a magnet or something to drop the new magnet into place.

The service engine light came on about a week ago on the way back from a trip, I floored it to get out of a merging truck'* way, and looked down and it was on. I pulled the codes, it gave the one for the O2 sensor, and the 41 for the cam sensor. I figured O2 was easiest to try (hah). $200 later, I'm still screwed.
