Default Mystery brake part

Lets play "whats that called"
Just above the fuel filter theres a junction where the brake line going to the rear brakes splits off from one line to two. Usually its just a "T" fitting, but mine looks a lot larger (looks like an older line lock cylinder for you racers). Its maybe 5" long & cylindrical shaped. Is this just a wierd "T" or is it some sort of proportiong valve?

All my brake lines are shot & this is too, just wondered if its anything special or if I can just replace it with a regular T fitting.

Haha, i had that same problem with the brakes. It'* a real bugger man.. good luck with it. Also make sure you get the DOUBLE FLARED lines.. not the single fared. Advanced Auto has them in stock, just make sure you measure everything before you go in there [width and length]

Crap, thats what I was afraid of. I'm really thinking hard about putting the old girl down now. It looks horrible & has a trillion miles on it, needed brakes before all of this.. but she runs perfect, doesnt smoke, no leaks & everything on it works perfectly.

How do you all decide when its time to put a vehicle to pasture? I was just going to park it somewhere & leave it for a back-up car if I ever need one. I have the 92 Grand Prix thats the daily driver, the Z28 is the toy car & theres no room left for the Bonnie. Sad thing is, I trust the Bonnie more than any of them I cant sell it just because of the miles & rust on it would scare everyone off! Honestly, I'd be lucky if if I could get $400 out of it and thats a stretch. However, I could use the parts off it for other "toys" I have. Man, this sucks! I like my old beater Bonnie

dude, little tip, you don't want to do them and the car is just a beater? Put a blocker on the line. Brakes will still work in the front, where it counts.

I decide to put a car to pasture when it falls apart. Literally, if the car splits in half, is when i will put it out to pasture. In my opinion, if you have to contemplate putting a car to pasture, it'* not a car you want to put to pasture. Usually they just end up out there when the car doesn't start or whatever and nobody cares about it enough to fix it.
