hey all, here'* the deal, i just had my brakes fixed, so my car is stopping now, but here'* the latest situation, as i was driving home i was on the interstate and it sounded like i got a whole in my exhaust, b/c it got really loud and just sounded that way...ya know? so i figured that'* what it is, and i drove it home, and drove to the bank and stuff, put some gas in it. then i got home again, and i shut it off....and the fan was on...and it wouldn't turn off, so i disconnected the battery, and have no idea what'* wrong with it now. so any tips or ideas would be great.

The fan can stay on if the car is hot enough. Totally Normal.

Are you sure it is your Radiator fan? Do yo have level control on this car? Might be your air pump running because something busted loose in your level control and it won't keep air pressure.

Level Control= Air struts on the back two wheels of your car and an air pump front drivers side of Engine compartment.

Just a thought.

positive that it'* the radiator fan, opned the hood and saw it spinning. and i thought it was just cooling off at first too, so i let it fun for 1/2 an hour, that'* when i tried to start it again, and the battery was getting too low for the car to start, so i unhooked it. any other thoughts?

Sounds like a stuck relay.

dont drive with it unhooked is a good thought. airconditioning maybe?

where would the relay be for the fan? so i can check it out, and see if that'* the case? thanks

There are three. All three of them are in the engine, near the air box on the Relay Bracket. My FSM doesn't list which one is which, but they are all the same. Isn't there a way to tell by unplugging the battery to see which one clicks, or unplugging one of them to see which one clicks? Or testing the resistance of them, and which ever one shows 0 ohms is the one sticking? I have never dealt with a sticking relay, so you may want to hit someone up who has more experience than me. I too, am curious however.

ok, well here'* somethin', i took out the fuse for the heater fan relays, and that didn't do anything, i thought that it might be a temperature sender telling the fan that the car was too hot, so i tried to check those, in the process i broke one (the middle one w/ the yellow wire) so now i HAVE to replace that one, and the fan still runs when i connect the battery, and i'm no closer to figuring out what the hell is causing this, i tried to find the relay switches by the airbox, but they're not there as far as i can see, if you can take a pic and show me what they look like and their EXACT position that would be super helpful. well thanks again for any thoughts/ideas.
