More Rear Window

More Rear Window
Pulled the rear door trim panel because the window was jamming and found that the problem is not at the bottom of the glass but near the top. At the rear of the window is a round hole that fits into a "guide". (See figure - item marked 7-5-9). Mine has broken (was able to rerieve one piece from the channel).
My limited parts manual does not list this piece.
If anyone knows of a way to repair that does not involve removing all of the glass, if someone has a part number for this piece, or if there is an aftermarket part that will work, I would really appreciate knowing.

I think if memory serves we tipped the glass just enought to snapp the plastic guide on there and then pushed the window back into the channel.. Never had another issue... Good Luck

Thank you. Was the type of info I needed (some things I will buy at at A-Zone, others I won't. Was able to locate a guide at a local dealer.
Was also hoping I could just "tip in".but wanted to be sure, manual says to disassemble the door. This is the car my wife usually drives do must be right. Naturally it gives an occasional "22" (TPS low) but I have never been able to trigger it while in garage, only while driving. Going to have to instrument next.

You may have to mess with the track a little.... Not sure... we had to replace one when we did the window motor.... It was a very simple thing to repair with the track and the like out of the door... But I'm thinking you may have enought tilt to squeeze it in there...

we had the local GM dealer ship charge us that for 1 O-Ring for the fuel rail on a 3100 V6...

Yes, plus tax it came to almost eight bucks (GMPartsDirect shows a $4 list price) is there more than one price book ?
Took the plunge and soaked in hot water per the instructions in the service manual and just rocked the window back into the track. Seems to be working nicely which means it can be repaired without disassembilng the door at all (assuming it did not mangle but do not think there was room to do such.
Did seem to hang a bit on first use but was not quite centered - just pulled it back out a bit by hand and now seems to work properly.
