Default This makes you think!

So last month I finally gave in and started to rip appart the intake to fix the coolant leak that began on the 3800 in my lesabre. I was kinda shocked to see this...Name: P1010014.jpg

The shinny area is where the gasket was, It is off that far. Can't be flowing good smooth air. And since

I descided to get out the dremel and go to town!

Did this help, well it couldn't have hurt a bit. When I was going back together with everything I went ahead and stretched the kick down cable 2 clicks, I tell you what this isn't the same car. The off the line power is much better, way more WOT response. It is doing all that little 165HP 3800 can do! It still has the factory air box and exhaust. Also you can feel the engine pulling hard when running 55 in lock up, then going to WOT it starts to pull really nice.

I also took the advise of jr's3800 and did the Delco coil swap.

Default dremel

Polishing and porting has been around for a while with heads and intakes and allways produces better air flow.
Nice job.

I was lucky I guess. Took the 2 bolts off of the intake and use a screw driver to walk the TB back, everything slid apart. I kinda think it had been apart before. But I have ruined one on a car I was scrapping out. WHen you dont care, you can break stuff!
