No... actually I remember someone who took normal lights and pin striped them... but I forget who.

Would it be so bad if you were to just break off the clear plastic and just show the black insert? I did that to mine and it looks good to me. Just make sure that you drill drain holes in the bottom of the black part.

Merlin you are thinking of me i believe. i took mine off and spent hours masking the outside with 1/8" masking tape. and i used black semi-gloss paint. then cleared them. they still look great. even tho i sold the SSE a month or so ago.

PS for the most part, the paint covered up the spyder cracks and such. accually made it stronger.
