to set the alarm:
move any power door lock switch to Lock with a door open. the Security light should iluminate, until the door is closed, and stay on for about 3 seconds after. the door locks will click after door is closed.
if a door is opend the alarm will go off. if a lock is damaged, the alarm will go off too. you cars lights will flash and the horn will blow. if you reach in and manually unlock the door, the alarm will also go off.

To Disarm the Alarm:
Use the door key and unlock the door from the out side. using the interior power door lock switch to unlock, or manually unlocking the door will also set off the alarm.

The system is totally passive. It arms itself. The easiest way is just to get in the car and lock the doors. Wait a minute or two, then manually unlock the door and get out. You may have to use your remote for the locking, but as stated here, use the manual unlock to get out.

you will either have stickers on ur windows saying you have one, or when you open the door, the security light will flash.

The RPO codes listed on your spare tire cover will indicate whether you have this feature as well.

Jrs3800 is compiling a list of RPO codes for quick access

It will be nice to know what all those codes mean. We'll be finding features that we never knew we had.

There is a new post in 92-99 I think..92ssei has posted something about activating the security...did you check it out?

Seems pretty easy to do.
