I have strayed off topic a bit... But I was thinking that there could be a possibility that the TV cable might have had a diffrent length at the adjuster as the Same trans could be used with the Buick or Chevrolet powertrain... I'm wondering if there was enough of a diffrence on the Throttle Body bracket to require a diffrent TV Cable.. It doesn't take much to hold out the shifts on the 4T60 if the cable is too tight... There should be a bit of free play at the TB

Well if it'* a 4T60 [sorry for the mistake... I have an L body, and forgot about the others], why not swap the TV cable from a b'ville or at least compare lengths. Obviously if they are both the same trans the cable would bolt up np. And like jr said the smallest adjustment could make a difference...
by any chance also, have you tried not adjusting the cable? Idk how to reverse a properly adjusted tv cable, but i know when they don't get adjusted for a while they reset to the tb control.... maybe that would work fine, because the corsy'* tv cable is broken and won't adjust and shifts great.

At 45 to 50 you are hitting OD Then the TCC lock comes in..
Do me a Favor tho, Take the Throttle to wide open and make sure the Cable stays where you have set it...
