the 3.1 also got the 4t60 on the higher trimmed models ;p

3100'* 94+ were attached to a 4T60-E In the N and W Bodies, as well the N Body 4 Cylinder 1994 and later was also attached to a 4T60-E through 98( Some N body Models Later production had a 4T40-E )
the later n bodies with the 3.4 got the 4T45-E and the 4 bangers got the 4T40-E

Well if it'* a 4T60 [sorry for the mistake... I have an L body, and forgot about the others], why not swap the TV cable from a b'ville or at least compare lengths. Obviously if they are both the same trans the cable would bolt up np. And like jr said the smallest adjustment could make a difference...

by any chance also, have you tried not adjusting the cable? Idk how to reverse a properly adjusted tv cable, but i know when they don't get adjusted for a while they reset to the tb control.... maybe that would work fine, because the corsy'* tv cable is broken and won't adjust and shifts great.

Default cable

You could experiment by adjusting it in either direction a little and see what results you get.

Just got back frm a Walmart run(groceries) and took the time to get under the hood and just go to both extremes with the tv cable. Pulled it all the way out, got more of the long shifts. What the hell couldn't get any worse. Got it pushed as far as it would go twds the throttle body, shift 1 at about 15 mph and 2000rpm I think, shift 2 at 30 to 35 again between 1500 to 2200 rpm, and 3 at 45 to 50 at 2500 rpm, od each time at 3500 to 4000 rpm,60 mph at 2500. Not one time did it rev past 4500!! I realize the rpms are still a little high, but I'm guessing that is frm the difference in gear ratio. I don't care now, this is fantastic compared to the way she was shifting!! HALLE-FREEAAKIN-LUYAH!! I didn't think I could love this car more, but I do!
