Headlight Monitor
My bonneville'* headlight lamp comes one every time I start the car, whether or not the lights are actually on. Unless the previous owner fiddled with it, it does not have twilight sentinel. Anyway, I have checked ALL exterior lights. They all function and are the exact bulb that should be there. I have also checked the license plate lights and the heads-up brake lights. I even replaced all headlamps just to see if that would help. Anyone have any ideas on what might fix this problem? What lamps does this system monitor--only exterior or does it do interior illumination as well? I presume the system cannot just be disable since I can't find a fuse for it and it seems to be integrated into the Driver Information System. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I've seen a few people have this problem. I've found it to be the lights in the trunk lid. There should be a few lights in that and if one is out, the monitor will tell you.
