Default ECM Code help needed...

Hi all. I have a code #12 from the ecm reader; the check engine light came on when I got on the freeway at an accelerated rate but the car runs fine. The cruise control doesn't work but everything else does. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Do you have any other codes besides "12". This just means that the system is operating correctly. What kind of "ECM Reader" are you using to extract these codes?

Are a gaggle of real scanners on ebay right now,

Will do a lot more than just display codes, just make sure you get the GM cable, a cartidge covering your year (1993 3-in-1 is best), and the card of readings vs mode.

I have two of them and use often.
