i mentioned above that it is indeed white, so the white curse lives on. not even worth fixing tho, the windshield is cracked/broken from the heat, and ALL windows are coated with a thick black film. and of course that horrible smell. we're keeping it around tho for the engine and tranny. i might need them one day in my 92.(their both series I, but are they still the same?). Anyway, i just thought it would be an interesting pic to put up here for everyone to look at.

If you ever do decide to use that engine in your 92 we will need to talk... It can be done tho..
what mr. vagueness is trying to say is that the engines and transmissions in the 90 and the 92 are different models, but can be made to work in the 92.

I've seen that spontanious dash melting before too, rare, but I have seen it. There was a 90 SSE (white, but there is not curse!) tan interior, and just destroyed by fire. I think that that was why it was in the yard. makes me a little paranoid... :(

Sadly enough thats not the first melted Bonneville I've seen either. There was a 92+ at my local yard melted to hell in the cabin, everything else was fine. That must have been one hell of an electrical short.

I don't think the lightswitch started that one. It'* still intact.

That'* a serious electrical problem for sure.

yea, looks like its from the instrument cluster, 87-91 se'* have wierd issues with those things.. mine would turn the low fuel light on randomly and the low oil pressure light was always on. even tho the gauge was fine along with the sending units

the upside is...we have tons of members looking for parts off that car.

Might be able to help her recover some money by selling parts to the 87-91 people.

List parts in the "For Sale" section.
