And here we are back 4 months later. My cruise still does not work.

I have replaced, the cruise switch and the servo. I have a cruise module in my trunk, I have yet to install it...and I know my brake switch works because my torque convertor unlocks if i press my brake.

BUT something I noticed...when I was replacing my steering column toggle arm thingymabober, I noticed that there is a PINK wire that seems to be loose..err..cut? well regardless..its not connected..and I'm just wondering whether that may be a crucial wire for the cruise? It is VERY hard to see and very hard to access because it is in the steering column...I will look in my FSM as soon as I find it And I am planning to install the cruise module tomorrow also. So we will see.

Just wanted to update the thread and still need help!!!

Thanks

yeah mines still dead lol...

I think my PCM might be the problem if it can be :?

How did yours start to die.

Same as mine?

Working some times for a while if yo left it in on,

When it would just shut off by its self....

then it worked for a bit, and not Nothing at all. this was over a 3 month time frame or so..

The most common cruise control fault is bad vacuum.
First thing to check or replace, if that is your modus operandi, is the vacuum lines.
Even before that, you do realize that the switch needs to be in the "ON" position for it to work, right? Just checking.
It seems odd that you have replaced all the components and it still doesn't work. Now you have to wonder if one or more of the new components you swapped out is faulty.

have you checked for vaccum at both hoses of the servo?

If there is vaccum, It needs to be replaced again

it could be easiest to get an extension of vaccum hose an figure out a way to bring it into the car to test it.

If it makes you feel better the cruise on my 89 caddy does nadda too. Never worked for me, and the guy i bought it from, couldn't put a sentence together, let alone ask him if the cruise worked. It never worked, and never almost worked... but if you figure out what that TSB is, that might be where I need to start. B'ville'* works fine though
