thanks willwren, but I just replaced the TPS, if anything is wrong with it now, i think i might have to shoot myself...

the update on this whole cruise problem, I just went a purchased a Cruise Control Servo at CheckerAuto.com....came to $80...i will re-update this thread when after I install it...and then we will know if that is the problem. I decided with the servo because of the poll...so if u guys are wrong then well, i dunno

interestingly enough i found out that the servo is the same one they used in like the 87-95 bonnevilles, cadillac devilles, park avenues, and a few others...so thats pretty cool..even though kinda insignifucant, i just thought I would mention that for future reference...

(Park Avenue = 1987-1990 Buick Electra then 1991-95 Park Avenue...same car...(Basically))

If the ECM does not see that you have turned on the switch then you will get no cruise...

At the same time the Brake switch is also part of the system, and a scantool will also give you info on that as well...

The TPS will be another...

All of these items go hand in hand...

Also I bought a Module from Advance once and it was by far the worst piece of crapp I ever bought... The calibration on those units is horrible...

And I have almost never seen those Modules fail
Thanks Don,
I appreciate those tips.

Ok guys, need help here. I just installed the Cruise Servo. WELL, it turns out that was definitely not it. So then we have narrowed it down to the brake switch, cruise switch, or the cruise module. So i guess i will return the servo...

So guys, what is the next thing i should try..besides of course using a scantool....? the switch, the module or the brake switch? HELP!

That'* really a tricky one. Was it really a problem on the bonne'*? My '87 worked perfectly and that was with 205k on the clock. Maybe i got lucky.

you know what, its funny, but i think it was a different system. Because my friend had an 87 with 294k and HIS CRUISE CONTROL WORKED! It is off...they did something right...

Does anyone know the part numbers for a brake cruise switch and what is the part number for the complete multifunction stick or whatever they called it. Please...part numbers.

ok guys...here it is...

just scantooled it...it is not seeing the request...period...so, does that mean i have a bad switch, or does that mean i have a bad CCM? I will be going to a jy soon to see if i can fish one out...but i really want to know whether it is the CCM or the CC Switch...
