hi bc well today i was driving my car to a place about 45 minutes from my home and i noticed that after 5 minutes of driving that my car started making a high picth whinning noise that sounded like it was coming from under the car but it was kinda loud.
the car drove fine all the way there and it drove fine all the 45 minutes back home but with a loud whinning noise only so i payed it no immediate attetion..
i went home and left my home againg about 3 hours later and about 20 blocks from my home my car just sputtered and died as i stopped at a red light. i put it in park and tried to start her again but all it did was sound like i had no gas but my take was full. after about 5 minutes of trying and sputtering she finally started right up and got me home safe but during the ride home my check engine light blinked so when i git home i hooked up the obd 1 code reader and code code ''39'' now the book tells me what the code means but im lost on this one.. i have no idea where to check or what to check for.

code 39-
tourqe converter clutch circuit fault
or clutch switch circuit problems
or knock sensor - short circuit problem.

now i need help on where to look for a problem or what to look for..
also could the whinning have something to do with my knock sensor.. that what i was told. ? can anyone please help me .. thanks...

dont mean to sound rude but i stated i have the code book with all the codes and i know what icode 39 means but i dont no what to look for or where to look to see what my problem is or how to fix it..

my QUESSTION is how do i find the problem and fix it..? . please reread my first post carefully.. thanks and i hope people understand what im asking...
