change my water pump

I change my water pump this weekend.. It was easy too do. But my car now runs at 500 RPM.. it that o.k ? becasue it was running at 1,000 rpm before.

Do you mean the idle speed? That'* really low, but a consistant 1000 is a little high. I'd be happier with the 500 than the 1000, however, as long as it'* not really rough.

i just dont see how changing the water pump could bring about something like that :?

did you have the battery disconnectd at any point? If so the ECM will have to relearn
