From: Detroit MI,

I learned my car was retrofitted with r-134a in 97 by the previous owner and I wanted to refill it with coolant because it comes out lukecold (if that'* a real term
) but I dont know where the Low end of the ac system is because the repair manuals don't cover AC refill. I wanted to pick up one of those refill cans with the pressure gauge attach, can some of you help. I was wondering if it was where the blue cap is seen in the pic below

Just a little added info: The AC system is a closed loop system, if it looses it'* charge there is a leak somewhere. It could be as simple as a bad o ring or as costly as a pin hole in the condenser. You could end up wasting your money by continually recharging it.
In order for you to use that kit your fittings will need to be R134 size.

I dont know the exact locations for your car but I know the diameters of a R134a car vs a R12 car are different.
follow the lines to the canister.

The Blue cap is the low pressure/Suction port... You have the 134a fitting and will be able to use that kit..
I would wait for the weather to warm up a little bit tho..
We will be able to give you a good range to charge to on the low side via the Humidity and Ambient temperatures...
I retrofitted my 91 LE a long time ago... Found the leak to be the valve on the high pressure side... Fixed that issue and got a kit...
Its been almost 7 years on 134a... Still have the original compressor... It rattles a bit but still gets the job done.. Sooner or later I will replace my compressor.. But for the longest time even in 90F heat it would blow cold...
