Default ac airflow

My ac is giving me some problems. When turned up all the way i feel a small amount cool air and hear the fan blowing as hard as it will go. I think the air is being restricted some where. Any ideas?

Sometimes the evaporator can become clogged with gunk... There is a procedure in Techinfo for the newer models, don't know if yours is the same.
