Default '90 SE motor for '87 LE? HELP!

Hey guys, it'* been a while, my 87 Bonnie has been down for 2 months with failed reverse reaction drum, but need to know if I can drop a 90 SE motor straight in or if there are any big details which may have to be addressed. I have access to the entire SE car, computers etc, and I am under the impression the new motor/trans is still fairly good, but have not yet decided to raid the tranny, or keep it together for a fast job. I have yet to do compression test, etc. and plan on doing it today, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanx for takin the time.......

Show be a simple motor swap. Both motors are the non series 3800. and same body styles.

Default Possible issues

I'm a little wary of electrical issues, hopefully the ths '90 SE motor has the same plugs, otherwisise I guess i will have to fudge some conections. The '90 has the steering wheel pod controls, but i dont think it will have any bearing on enginne parameters since the EMC comp is separate. If I am wromg please let me know. Props!! Peas out!!!

IIRC they are two different motors though. Isn't one the C motor and the other the L motor?

IIRC, the '87 is a "3" motor and the '90 is a C. I've worked on both when our family owned cars with these engines but darned if I can remember much about the 3 motor... still have the car with the C.
