I guess that jumping from 16" to 18" size wheels will affect the speedometer
accuracy?

I was told that they wouldn't as long as the new wheel and tire are no larger than the heighth of the old wheel and tire that was on the car to begin with.

Not entirely height since most problems I see are the front tires rubbing the fender liner at full lock and this is a function of height, width, and offset.
The 077 is a nice looking wheel, like my Enkeis, all the weights will have to go on the inside. I know that the factory stock offset for a 16x7 is 46 mm but am not certain how that translates for an 8" rim. Do know that a 16x7x38 (adds about an inch to the track) with 225x60x16s is marginal at full lock. I
