Hi folks,
My 1988 SSE has the strangest power braking system I've ever seen, and I can't find any info on it in my Haynes manual.
It appears to be some kind of pneumatic system and has a black canister on it which contains pressurized brake fluid. I take it this is not a normal servo-assisted braking system. Can someone explain to me exactly what kind of braking assistance this is, what its called, and how it works?
Whatever it is, it doesn't seem to be holding pressure and is currently not offering much braking assistance.
Also, what would be REALLY usrful to me, and a friend of mine who fixes my car and is more mechanically able than me, is a decent exploded technical drawing of this system showing how it all goes together. Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks!

Anything you need to know about the Teves ABS system in the 88-90 SSE can be found here.
