I've seen a few at a junkyard, actually... Outside - just your average SSE, maybe a few minor differences. Inside - it'* a lot more like my SE than any '88 - '91 SSE. It has a narrow centre console, no gain control & amp, the seats are a bit different too, as the controls that move the seats are on the seats themselves. The only thing that'* by the arm rest are the controls for the seat back... umm. can't really think of a lot more differences than that
my bad. I was thinking of the '88...

*'all good man. Thanks guys for all the replies, I guess it is settled they didn't have the SSE for '87. And we all know just little things changed from every year. And, every year it got better [until '92 ].

One thing I've noticed in some pix of 87-91 Bonnies is sometimes the seat belt is attached to the door instead of the B pillar.

What years/models does that happen in?

Also, another thing to note about differences is the sunroof motor... I went to 3 junkyards and I found a few SSEs, but the motors were all different from my 91.

Ok then it must be a regulation pertaining to Canadian regulations... All of the Bonnevilles I have seen( US ) 87-91 had the seat belts in the doors.. I'm glad GM changed that though...
The 1991 Sunbird coupe (V6, of course ) my family used to own had door-mounted belts.

I think there'* a sticker somewhere on my car... how it'* built for use in Canada, and does not (or may not) comply with US standards...

the crazy ways of GM.
They're not the only car maker to have differences for Canada and the US. Being a Toyota Cressida enthusiast as well, there are way more differences between American and Canadian cars than there are for Bonnevilles.

Mine are mounted on the door, but I think in '90 they started putting them on the b pillar. Either way there must be some difference between our models which causes them to put it one way or another, I'd rather them on the B pillar, because when I take the door panel off, its probably going to be a PITA, because of the seat belt.

So is this going to be a new mod for American bonnies now - putting the seat belt in the b-pillar? shouldn't be too difficult
