But the only part I dont understand is that interrupter part. in that manual u guys posted it shows on the very first part the sensor taken off, but there is nothing behind it. its blank but on the next page it shows the dirty interrupter. Do I need to line it up with the hole? how do I go upon doing that?

Btw guys, I just hope that this IS the problem... ill give you a little bit info besides the code that i got from the computer. The car acts like it has no balls. I cant floor it, it just shudders and dosent do anything, I have to be gentle with the gas pedal.. and I mean gentle or the car just shutters. As well when I used to start the car I could just drive off. Now its like I start it..and if I go drive off.. feels like it wants to stall. its also part of this situation.

Anywas this intruppter dosetn sound hard to do.. ill probley be able to do it. I just need the part and figure out how to get the thing to line up with the hole .

Thanks guys really
I am somewhat experiencing the same thing you are. I decided to clean my IAC to try and fix the problem where my car would want to stall when I shift from park to drive after just turning it on. When I cleaned the IAC, my car is still learning [I hope]. I can still floor it no problem. My problem is that when I first turn the car on, the throttle response hesitates... That'* a problem because of the fact that whenever I want to go, I hit the gas [no matter how hard or soft] two seconds will pass by, and then the car will respond to what I'm doing with the gas.

I'm still trying to find the fix for this, but I still hope it'* just because I reset my ECM and my car is still learning with a now clean IAC...

My exprience with 3800s is that it usually stops pretty close to lined up. If not just put a socket (stock crank bolt is 15/16") and long breaker bar on the bolt on the end of the crank and turn until either the interrupter or the hole where it used to be is visible.

BTW, you cannot remove the interrupter from another engine without removing the timing cover and then it will probably be damaged in the process.

Note1: crank turns a lot easier with the spark plugs removed but is optional.

Note2: remove key from ignition or disconnect battery first.

Note3: if you must use the "bump starter and look" method make sure it cannot start (pull plug wires from coilpack)

"guest"? I didn't know guests could post. Shouldn't somebody fix that? Guests are usually annoying persons reveling in the fact that they are anonymous.
