Just like that, SSEi'*, SHO'*, Z34'* etc all will be collectors. Things like rare options and packages help a lot too

You have brought a very powerfull statement and I think
that your appraisal is quite just.

Just thinking of all famous restored cars with badges like the
Impala SS or the Dodge Charger R/T or even the early
Firebird and the impact they produce on an north hemisphere is a quite significative proof on our values and our believes.
I better understand the need to keep these toys alive.
Someone told me that if the body/frame is ok...all the rest is feasible.

Sure, any car can, if you give it enough years. I just don't see a Bonneville like mine becoming a "classic" anytime soon. It'* a 13 year old car, I'd think it has another 25 years to go before it'* even remotely "collectible".

Of course, then there'* sentimental value. But that'* besides the point
Well, I would say that a car bearing a SSE badge should obtain
the Classic tag after 25 years.
Mine is going to be 17 y/o in fall and I have 8 years ahead to fix-it!
Spreading this restoration along this time frame sounds good to me.
