My buddy and I plan to put together a similar setup for his Monte for much less $$. We may put together a few kits of our own if it works out well. We can model off of my Bonneville, his Monte, and probably an Impala as well. Should be fun.

That sounds pretty sweet! Is there any twincharged PAs?

I'm glad you're friends are into sweet cars. All my friends are into extreme rice and don't appreciate the greatness of American muscle. Sure some rice cars are nice, but it'* sort of gets old, you know?

Alright boys, I'm not the only one with the idea of pursuing a project like this. Get out there and spool up some fun!

Nope. As far as I know, I am the most heavily modded PA in the world. The only two that are faster, AFAIK, are another 97+ Ultra with an intercooler, 1.9s, and a 2.5" DP, and a 93 Ultra with a 75 shot.
If I stay sane, it gets an intercooler. If I go nuts, it might get a rear-mounted set-up...

Umm, whoa, nevermind the ZZP kit...$3,600 base price without an intercooler!
For less than a third of that, I can do a rear mount.

Yeah, my buddy is only 19 but he has had an '87 Monte SS, a '94 Chevy stepside, a '94 Grand Prix GT, two '76 Nova'*, and now he has the '00 Monte SS and an '89 Trans Am GTA. If he doesn't sell the Monte then it will definitely be turbo'd this summer and I will have a write-up with 1/4 mile vids.

That'* so sweet. My friend is seriously looking at getting a Nissan 300zx and modding that. It'* really stupid because his idea of modding is just "simply" adding in all the stuff you can get on the internet (ie: Folger'* exhaust system, etc.) and yeah, it'* a fast car but it'* kinda stupid what he wants to do with it. Like I highly doubt a 17 old needs to worry about weight reduction in his 300zx so much as to rip out the back seats. Not a very useful car at that point, especially if we wanna go out somewhere and we have to take two cars to do it.

And my other buddy is looking at getting a Honda Civic, ricing it, and selling it for a way higher profit. For some reason he thinks he can buy one for $16,000, blow a ton of money on turbo kits, exhaust systems, pretty much anything to do with making this car faster than it'* worth. And then he plans to sell it for a "huge profit", which he thinks would be around $50,000 (no joke, he said it).

And the really stupid part is none of them know the first thing about cars, they just think I add this and it makes it go fast for some reason. At least I'm trying to read up and learn about it before I go and buy it.
I can only hope that they come out of this phase and join the real car phase soon Opinion? Maybe. But I won't be there to say I told you so when their imports blow up.

On the other hand their dads would be happy to have any of the cars you listed above. Looks like I'll have to make new friends

That'* a pretty sweet title to hold on to, congratulations
I'm not familiar with the rear-mounted setup, do you have any links I can look at?
