Hmmm. I'd like to see what is available for better motor mounts before I decide to make my own from windshield polyurethane. I'll probably have to wrap my Knock sensors with Dynamat then.
You can't really gain anything by wrapping your knock sensors with dynamat but you can safley desensitize them. I sucessfully did this. If your really interested pm me and i'll dig up the info on how to do it.

Try it ! It looks like it moves a long ways with the hood off. Maybe 6 inches is a bit much. But it moves a LOT. Its hard to measure when your inside ...
It just seems to be a bit extreme for my taste. Put your car in gear and have someone power brake. Watch that 3800 go backwards. It'* scary.

I almost hate to ask ... but will Grand Prix mounts work ? I have saw a few that " look " close on the web. I know all of them won't fit but what about the bottom ones ?
What about the tranny mount ?

The GP have 2 dogbone mounts that attach to the Rad support and then to the front of the engine to stop that backwards movement. It has been thought of to try and adapt to a bonne but never done

The mounts in my 89 are broken, (two I think) its a bit concerning when you feel the engine bouncing when you put it in gear

I have a 1991 Buck Regal Sport with the same setup as the GP you just mentioned. I never even thought about trying to adapt it over. It'* just a mount bracket on one side and few holes with a mount bracket on the other at the front radiator support.
Time to get out the measuring tape ......
