Yeah I was just going to say that 1978 isn't the Mach-1 era. If anyone ever needs info on 'stangs from '66-'70 though, contact me. I can help some on '71-'73 as well.

The Mustang II is a rare rare site in these parts. Wasnt the Mustang II fault. All cars of that era were strangled with emission'* parts making them slow etc. Right now I am restoring a 1990 Mclaren Grand Prix Turbo another rare car around here.

Mustang II is actually probably the best of the pre-Fox Mustangs if you're wanting a performance build. Light, stiff, and with a benchmark suspension. Drop a 302 in it and do 12s, or go for something more radical...

Were tossing it around. I like the idea of having a smaller car...she is more into something she can cruise with. In either case, we both prefer something we can drive while we work on it. As it sits, the Mustang doesn't run...nor has it run in over a decade. No telling what surprises lie in waiting, mechanically speaking.

Brad, one good trait about the Mustang II, if something is broke, all you need is a screwdriver...

Save your money and get into a fox body.Lots more hot rod parts for that car.Not as ugly either.Personally I would get a 4cly. fox witha great body then do a small block swap. Can be done rather cheap.Dave

Cobra II wasn't all that great. Pretty much just an appearance package. The 2+2 was the way to go. Or a King Cobra. The regular old cobra was pretty weak.
