That pic is typical. Digital cameras have that effect on Gtech screens. My pics look like that too if it'* not powered up. There'* nothing wrong with the display. Just the way the CCD in the camera sees it.

Yep, I bought a TI-89 off of eBay, and there was one pic with it off, and it looked fairly similar to that, and then there was a pic of it on, and it looked perfectly fine.
