Hard shifting thoughout all gears after the range senor.....
the transmission shifts hard after I put in a new range sensor I was wondering what may cause this problem it more or less slams into second from 1st and when you go from 2nd to 1st at 25+ mph the downshift is so rough the tires lock up for a quick second...........2nd to third is ok but not perfect still shifts rough and from 3rd to overdrive or from overdrive to third is pretty rough........I have had this problem b4 took it in had the tranny looked at he adjusted a few things checked a few things and when I got it back it shifted so amazingly good I could have sworn he put in a new trannsmission I'ma try to adjust the range sensor to see what happens and check a few other things any help would be greaty apriciated
Thanks

OMFG I feel so amazing good right now I dissconcted my negative battery terminal like someone said I should for 20 mins (they told me to do this because he thinks the shift patterns were all set out of whack by me disconnecting the solenoid plug) OMFG he was right this baby shifts like it has a brand new transmission I have never felt this car shift so amazingly smoth no more jolting no more slamming into gears to more tire lock-up when manually downshifting........ I am hoping the rough shifts wont come back after the computer reconfigures the shifting patterns.......the guy said the CEL would be on like it is......sorry I just wanted to cry when i felt it shift after I did this.......I can get some decent money for my $130 contour now ^_^

Ah, man, now what am I going to read to make me feel better about MY car problems?
I can't get by without my daily fix of killer'* disasters...
Seriously, I hope you get a good price for it.
Then maybe you can buy a Bonnie!
