Default effin' mosquitoes

Its the 21st century now, we shouldn't have to deal with this crap. In the 1950'* there were no mosquitoes because of DDT. DDT killed everything else so was discontinued. By now there should be a way to get rid of these suckers, no pun intended, but seriously all this genetic enginering and cell manipulation. I'd think change the DNA of a few mosquitoes so they have no needles and if they reproduce then all will eventually not have the needle. Anyways, how is the mosquito situation at you're locations. For me, I can't even walk outside without dumping a gallon of deet on myself.

They're freakin' horrible where I live. The back half of our property borders a swamp.
