Honestly, I like the appearance of the 01 better, but I'd have to choose the 98.

I would pick the 01, only for the reason that (i think) all 00+ Bonnevilles have a floor shift. Not all 92-99'* do. (I may be wrong on this, but this what i've always thought)

00s were available with a column shift, but it is REALLY rare, i have only seen a couple in my day

Gotta be careful here as I have a 96-99 AND 00-05 style. Based on both and knwoing that both have their issues, I'd have to go with the 01. The dash layout is much better and I've been won over to the wedge shape. Big plus in my book is that the 01 has no side cladding, where the 98 does. Gives it a very dated look. Before you accuse me of flaming it * A) MHO; and B) I have a 96 SSE that I dearly love. The wedge shape just looks sleeker than the jellybean.
