Why does my fuel needle everytime is goes below a quarter tank about 10 miles later i run outta gas is there something wrong with the gauge or somethin?

Ken, Start utilizing your trip meter to gauge fuel tank level. Depending on your driving habits, you should be able to safely get approximately 300 miles per tank. Unless you have a real heavy foot and do all city driving, you may only get 250 or fewer miles per tank.

The fuel gauge appears to be logarithmic.
