My first car show
Hey just took my bonneville to my first car show so I thought Id tell you guys about it. Since I was told about it the night before it wasnt in pristine condition. First I gave it a complete wash down including the fender wells and scrubbing the trim and the door jams. Then I waxed it....or tried to. The wax wouldnt dry right and ended leaving streaks across the hood and windows so I had to do a meticulous scrubbing of everything I waxed. (Major bitch) I think it was because I didn't shake the turtle wax? Idk. After that I cleaned the interior and leather. Then I scrubbed the tires down and sprayed tire shine and cleaned the wheels. The day of the car show I wiped down the entire car with a microfiber towel. I think the day went well, the car was full of people the entire day and I got a bunch of compliments. The day ended in a 5 way tie which I sadly lost. But still thats pretty good for a 15 year old in a Bonneville! I did win some new car wax that Im about to try out since my turtle wax shitted out on me at last second. If anyone can tell me why I might leave streaks when I waxed please do because it took longer than washing to take the streaks off. I forgot my camera at home so I couldnt take pictures. Oh and the original ghost busters car was there along with the packs they wore.

I tried the wax I won. Its called simoniz and it seems to work alot better? And applies ALOT better too! Im not sure how well it is compared to turtle wax but its alot easier to use. And it doesnt leave white crap in chips or scratches in the paint like turtle wax. Also I think the tutle wax wasnt working because I did it in sunlight. A big nono.

Way to represent for all of us Bonneville owners! Congrats!
I was gonna guess that the streaks were probably due to the sun. (Guessing you did it in the sun)
Great job!
