Fel Pro with a T at the end of the part number or GM. Both of these are aluminum frame gaskets. If Victor makes an aluminum frame, they add that to my preference.
The preference is one that won't collapse at the various ports due to being plastic framed. As long as the gasket is aluminum frame, it'* good.

Thanks for the tip on the "T". The more expensive Fel Pro has a T. The slightly more expensive Victor set claims: No joints means increased durability
• No sealants required
• Compression limiters prevent over tightening
• No torque loss and no shrinkage... ever
But not sure what they are implying. I have searched their web-site trying to decipher but no magic bullet found. I am planning on replacing intake manifold gasket on a 4.3L and have never done it before nor have any help so I am doing all the homework I can in hopes of getting it right the first time.

The GM gasket is a beast of a gasket compared to others. Gunner was flaunting his GM gasket compared to the aluminium framed one I picked up at the auto parts store, I ended up taking mine back and using his :P.

Thanks YMMO. BTW, I am renting a garage in McHenry that has an overhead electric hoist that can easily pull and engine (I am told). If you ever have a need drop me a note.
