Got under the car and it looks as though the differential and it'* cover appear to be all thats damaged ...to the naked eye with the trans installed. Differential pin broke, and the diff exploded .....at less than 1/2 throttle.
Just talked to the shop who rebuilt the trans in my old 99 SSEi and they quoted me $750 to replace the differential, new diff cover, check the rest of the trans over, and install a shift kit.
I would go full bore but it'* not in the budget at the moment. This also puts my plans for a cam on the shelf for a while now.
I am going to take some pics to show what happened, but I probably won't have those up until next weekend.
