You will get as many opinions on this as the number of people you ask. My opinion is no. They don't offer extended warranty out of the goodness of their hearts. They offer them because they make a lot of money on them.
Part of my reason for saying no, however, is because I can fix a lot of this stuff myself, and save a ton of money that way.
You said your loan is through Citi, but who is the extended warranty carrier? Is it Citi as well? I have heard comments in this forum from members that find it difficuly to collect from certain companies.

If you can afford it I would do it... Look at it like this... even tho everything isnt covered, it will cover the main parts that will prolly go out at 160,000 miles...
Just keep in mind with extended warranties... if it looks like its damaged due to racing, neglect, or any other type of abuse that isnt the cars fault they might not cover it... so if youll be hot-******* it, keep that in mind.
the others may have some thoughts on it so let them chime in with opinions and what not
good luck with it

btw hows the car running currently??? any major problems happen so far or she smooth sailing?

When you bought the car was there a repair history included so you know whats gone wrong over time? this helps determine if parts have been problematic, or if its all still factory... something to look into when making a decision like this
its all a gamble really, it could be a perfect company that would help with anything, but if nothing goes wrong up past 160,000 *seen it happen multiple times* then you paid them for no reason. or it could be a company that just wants the money and everything that breaks they find a loophole to get out of paying for it *seen this too*
just fyi on these from a dealership pov... we get cars in with ext warr'* and for everything *to be covered* it has to sit, torn apart til the appraiser person comes by and looks to see if its the cars fault or the neglectful driver, this can take a week or more from the time you get it to the shop, to finding out if its covered. and if its not covered your out the money for what the shop has done to that point, and it will go up if you want them to put it back together and finish the job... can be a bad situation sometimes... just want you to know so you can make the best judgement, not trying to scare you or anything

i made the mistake of buying coverage for my X5 that was a tier less than the one the dealership was offering to save myself a thousand bucks...my first bill from the dealership was close to four grand. Had i of gone with the more comprehensive package it would have cost me $100 as all the components were covered in that group. A thousand bucks could have saved me $3700..lesson learned... absolutely! That'* my 2 cents.

Who'* the company providing the warranty? If it'* USFidelis or Stop Auto Repair Bills, don't do it. They are rated F from the BBB for a reason.
If going for a extended warranty, check out CARCHEX® - Get Protected
Probably the best thing I found. Exactly like a dealers new car bumper-bumper warranty.

Alot of people throw money away for policies that turn out to be hard to get money back. Some are legit and worth it. Check the company in question out. Google is a good friend. Do they have places to take your car that will get the money from them? Or do you have to front the money and wait for them to refund. Alot of pluses and minuses. Do your research.
