Default smaller pulley sizes from boring over?

Could you run a smaller sc pulley if you bored out your motor. I was think that creating a biggery cylinder opening would create less back preasure, creating less back preasure would put less work on the sc, therefore allowing it to run cooler, which might let you run a smaller pulley. what do you all think

Spend the over bore and piston and rebuild money on an intercooler.
