boost,how much?
since i am a fairly new owner of a sc car i don't know a lot about boost levels so my question is this.at best my boost guage goes halfway between o and +7 psi.is this normal or should it be higher.if it should go to max,why isn't it?any ideas?

Mine will reach to the mark before max easily..
could be a few things that might be causing boost dump
octane of fuel ( even though I don't know if it'* reading KR or not during WOt cause as far as I know most car goes to default readings for WOT )
boost dump cause by PCM or bad boost solenoid.. climate and altitude will also affect it

You should be closer to 8.5 to 9 PSI stock. I'm surprised your gauge isn't in kPa.
I'd be looking for vacuum leaks around the BCS and BCA, do the BCS mod, and the boost bypass (read Techinfo and search in Forced Induction) and see where that puts you.
I'm moving your topic to Forced Induction.
