Replacing heated seats switch with a toggle in 00+
I have a remote start on my 2000 ssei, and was thinking how convenient it would be if the heated seats turned on when the car did in this freeeezing Michigan weather. How hard would it be to replace the current pushbutton/slector switch with a toggle that had HIGH, LOW, and OFF positions on it? Or to just switch some wires around so its natural state is HIGH when the ignition turns on?

I don't believe this is practical due to the way the circuit is designed. There may be a way to pull this off, but I'll have to scribble out a few schematics first. I may need a couple of weeks before I'll have time.
If you find another solution first, let me know. If you haven't heard from me in a couple of weeks, post another message or PM me as a reminder.
