One day I drove it and came home it ran fine then, the next day went out dead, the battery was dead, charged it up,started, I had the alternator checked,starter,ignition switch,maf, solenoids,wires, some thing is draining the battery,cant figure out what is going on anybody have any ideas what is going on with this Pontiac? a few months ago I had replaced the computer because it was idling high rough shifting after the computer was installed the idle was fine...

check for something draining the battery. sometimes batteries dont come back from discharging them completely as well, especially in the cold and if the battery is older.

I have to disagree with part of the amp draw test.....

Yes the hood should be open, doors closed, no key in the ignition, and if under hood light is on, disconnect it...

Disconnect the negative cable....you do not have to disconnect the positive cable....

Put the correct size bolt into the neg battery terminal(can remove the bolt from the cable, and install it in battery)......now get a jumper cable with alligator clips and attach to bolt on neg battery terminal and the other end to the neg battery cable.....should let this stay like this for about 10 minutes......this allows all modules in the vehicle to go to sleep....if you were to immediately attach the amp meter, you would get a false high reading due to the modules being awake abd communicating with each other....

After ten minutes, have alligator clips attached to your amp meter leads, and attach them in parallel with the jumper....after they are attached, now remove the jumper cable and you will get a true reading of the system, with the modules all asleep......should be no higher than 30 Ma or 0.030 Amps......

Follow the procedure with the fuses.......in some cases, there are fuse panels under the rear seat, and on the ends of I/P'*, and you need the doors open....so before starting this, you will need to have the doors open to get to the fuses......if the door switch is in the latch, you just take a screw driver and move the latch in the door to the closed position.....if the door switch is in the "A" or "B" pillars(older vehicles), you have to disable them.....

Sometimes you can remove all the fuses, and still have a draw......this could be the alternator.....disconnect it to see if the draw goes away.....

Is 0.20 amp draw to much

yes, should be like .03-.05ish or less
