Thank you very much, looking on youtube was the perfect answer , I've been looking for a solution to my problem for 4 yrs now. The videos I found showed me exactly what was wrong and step by step instructions on how to repair. Apparently the stepper motors on the instr cluster are known for going bad. THANKS AGAIN

Well I finally got around to removing the instrument cluster and replaced all the stepper motors also found out the auto company I purchased the vehicle from pulled a fast one on me, the check engine soon lights were not operating which was one of the reasons I needed access to the cluster and found some dumb mechanic stuffed the cavity where the LEDs are with paper towels to hide the operation of the check engine light. Tells me not to go to them in the future and the auto repair shop I took it to didn't really check the system like they told me they did, otherwise they would have found the paper towel stuffed in there. Time to look for another repair shop (Pro-Cat automotive will no longer be used)
Thanks again for all your help
