Ok, as long as it is supposed to go down. Makes sense.

Bill, I grounded that wire separately, but since I have those tap-in style connectors I guess I'll go that route and connect it to the HU ground wire.

I got everything in. The CD player works fine, I wasn't worried about that. But I got the lit "SSEI" mount from humount, and it'* not lighting up and I'm pretty darn sure I wired it up right.

Oh yeah, and the faceplate doesn't open up since this is pretty much a flush mount kit. I had a feeling that would be a problem once I saw how the faceplate opened. So right now I can't put CDs in it while it is all installed

It'* an LED lighting system right? If you got the polarity backwards they won't work at all.

I can't help ya with the other issue though...

I fixed the other issue. It will open now.

But no these are not LEDs, they are mini bulbs. You're supposed to wire the red wires for the bulbs(7) to the illumination wire (orange), and connect all the black to ground. Easy enough...did it work? Nope :(

ohhh.... lol, figures the easy part screws up.

This is where I'd have you bust out the multimeter.

All I can say is double check and jiggle all your connections, double check you tapped into the correct 12V line, and the ground lines.

Sonofab.... the face is not opening again. The face of the HU slightly pops up then out, and the mount'* faceplate is in the way...this is really ticking me off. Nothing is ever simple with this car ..ok maybe changing brake pads yesterday, but that'* it!!
