Default Enlighten me About the Bose System

OK so i have the Premiun sound in my SLE (Delco) I plan putting a Huge A$$ system in the car and will be needing 2 amps for the subs only. So my question is Is there any way that the Bose Amp will go into my car with out any major modification?? where does the bose amp get its power from?? I would be using it to pump the power going to the front speakers not the back.

IS this possible

Not worth it. find yourself some nice $75 amp on ebay -Salvage yards get $50-100 for a BOSE amp that has a much more painful installation and won't sound good with most aftermarket speakers due to the BOSE amplifiers low ohm'age. I believe the stock BOSE speakers were 2 ohms and the Infinity'* I replaced them with in my 1999 SSEi were 4 or 8 ohm and they sounded pretty poor and really lacked the mid bass.
Find a nice JL, Alpine, Kenwood, Orion, or even a Pioneer with a rating of 50-125x2 (depending on what your front'* are rated for).

I agree, factory audio components rarely compare to aftermarket ones. To save a little money, you can sell the bose system [head unit, speakers, etc], to fund for the amp [because your probably not going to get more than $100 for the bose system].

Well I just wanted to get a little more power to the fronts to eliminate the distortion is there at the highte volumes. I plan on running a 1500W 2 channel and 900W mono for the Subs. This leaves me with no where else to put an amp.

exactly how hard is the installation of the bose amp? some one want to tell me the differences between the Premiun Delco and the Bose??
