Default With or With VARIABLE ASSIST Power Steering

I have a 2003 SLE and need to put in new inner tie rods and outer tie rod ends. The inner tie rod descriptions have w/variable assist or w/o variable assist. How do I figure out witch parts to by?
Thanks

Magnetic variable assist is sometimes called MSVA or Magnasteer....

This was used on the C(PA) and H(LeSabre/Bonneville) cars.....

Easy to tell.....look at the rack where the spool valve is(where the intermediate shaft joins the rack)......if you see a wire harness coming off this, it has Magnasteer.....no harness, no variable assist....

Thanks for your reply. I had it at a shop the other day to make sure I needed inner and outer tie rods and I do. I forgot to look for the wire harness when they had it up on the rack. They have two sets of inner tie rods quoted in my estimate so I called them about it and the guy I talked to asked me the question, "Is it with or without the variable assist?" I have been sick and have not had the chance to look. Plus it'* 2 degrees out and I don't have a garage to work in. I was hoping someone would be able to give me a quick answer.

Turn your wheel all the way to the right......with a flashlight, follow the inner tie rod inward to the rack and the spool valve.....look for a harness coming off the base of the spool valve.....the harness will come towards you, and attach to the engine compartment just above the axle.....
