4grand would have bought you an INTENSE tranny Course it would have been another 500 or so to get it installed. Good luck with the new one. Be sure to maintain it with filter changes and fluid flushes....

unfortunately its not that equal, Baileys got 3800 cdn not 4k usd.....$1700 more and no hope gm wouldnt come through with warranty?

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that you have officially joined the "blown transmission club" of Bonneville owners. I think our ranks are growing everyday.

Transmissions just are not supposed to let go so early in their life. There is definitiely something going on with the transmissions in the 2000+ models.

I hope you have good luck working through Pontiac for some goodwill financial assistance.

Well the Gm rep called back today to tell me that due to the kilometres and that there was no warranty on the car they could not do anything for me. :( Oh well. Good thing i work in the automotive industry and there'* lots of overtime this weekend to pay for it even if it is the long weekend. Anyways to all who helpped me through this Thank You very much Have a great weekend all.
