torque steer
Is there anything to do about torque steer? It nearly got us (my husband and I) into an accident the other day (weren't going to race until some Cherokee jerk pulled off the line like a bat outta h*ll, and so we decided to take him out...we almost nailed him!).
It never bothers us if we take off fast, but if we put it near the floor while already moving we sometimes jerk left...I'm a little worried by it.

he he hee (nervous giggle)...nevermind.
We do occasionally have a problem with it, but the time I mentioned above was actually my husband'* fault (he'* here on the board, BTW). He just told me that it was actually a case of overcorrecting for a slight jerk right.
I need to learn to talk to him occassionally.

Yea.. most if not all FWD will exhibit torque steer and if it'* a real concern you can invest in a torque bar that will help counter the affects.. I"m just use to it so I konw when I"m going to floor it to put both hands on the wheel then in racing style to ensure I have the most control on the wheel. Husband and Wife combo on here... ooohhh.. how sweet..
