Sunroof revisited
Still trying to find a place to get parts for the sunroof on my wife'* 2000 Bonneville. The problem is the connectors of the actuator that pull/push the glass frame have broken. The motor works and the window will go into vent position (but won't go down unless pushed by hand). I can remove the glass and watch the arms run back and forth in the channel on each side. Surely there is someplace to get parts for these things rather than have to pay $1300 to replace. Anyone have any luck finding these type parts? Would be a tremendous help to post it here. Thanks.

A lot of guys around here use www.gmpartsdirect.com to get their replacement parts. Check that site out, and just go to the catalog link near the upper right on the page. I haven't searched there for any sunroof stuff, but I would assume they have what you're looking for. At least a good place to start...
Hope that helps.

Dg I just got a sunroof and the whole frame , motor and actuator the whole kit and caboodle except no deflector for $150 canadian at a yard in town.I mainly needed the glass as my rubber around glass was ripped so I just replaced the glass, although my connectors are broken also ( mine only goes back and forth , it does not go to vent) but as far as I know you will have to pull the headliner and replace whole sunroof frame.I have one but am not going to all that trouble.Where do you live.

jdq, I'm in Alabama. Does the frame have the actuator included? Are you wanting to sell it? I've looked at gmpartsdirect and they have the frame and motor but I don't think I can get just the part I'm looking for.

iM not a 100% what the acuator is, but any hardware on the frame is pretty well riveted on except glass and deflector so I would assume you need the frame.Do you have pic or describe actuator. Is it beside motor.Mine wont go to vent either. and the frame is big for shipping.

Parts
The best way for me to describe it is, if you remove the glass from the sunroof and looking down from the top you can see there is a channel on either side of the frame where the actuator slides back and forth to open or close the sunroof. The part(*) that is broken is the part of the actuator that attaches to the glass frame and is made of plastic. Thanks!
