new front strut installation question
The shop that I am takign my car to tomorrow to get the new front struts on says that I really "should" buy a camber kit for the front of the car so that the camber can be adjusted. I asked if it has one now, he said no. So, my question is do I really NEED this camber kit? I don't think I do, and that'* an extra $60 he'* trying to get me to spend. BTW, the struts are monroe sensa-trac if that makes a difference.

He'* BSing you. the camber is adjusted by the bottom end of the strut as far as I see. You would only need a camber kit to adjust the camber outside of factory specs.

Got the front struts installed. Didn't need the camber kit, infact, didn't even need an alignment after I got it done.. pretty cool huh? Total labor cost was $240. So in all I got away with getting new suspension on all four corners for a grand total of $520. not too bad. The sensa-trac'*/max-air shocks/struts are a great combination! The car rides great, the car handles even better. I'm lovin it!
