pic 02 sensor
does anyway have a picture of wha t my front 02 sensor looks like. is it below the thermostat housing.

Actually, your O2 sensor is located on the down pipe going into the catalytic convertor. If you look over top of the engine and straight down (parallel to the firewall) you'll see it screwed into the exhaust pipe. It almost looks like a spark plug.
The easiest way to remove it is to rent the O2 Sensor Removal Tool from AutoZone. It'* a slick socket that has a slot in the wall to allow for the wire to hang off to the side.

Oh but u cant beat the feeling after you have removed that O2 with a box end wrench, the skinned knuckles, ahh what a good feeling.

Here'* a tip. Give it a good shot of WD40, let it sit for a while (half an hour), run the car for a minute, but no longer. Let it cool for a minute or two, put some gloves on, and put the wrench on the O2 sensor. It'll pop out without too much stress.
BTW, you only have 1 O2 sensor, right below the blower motor. Take the 4 nuts off the strut tower brace and remove it, that'll give you more arm room.
